Six arrested in U.S. for ISIS ties

Six men were arrested in Minnesota and California on suspicions they tried to travel to Syria to fight with ISIS.

A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota said there is no threat to the public, but declined to release further details about the arrests, Fox News reported.

Authorities said three of the men who were arrested in Minneapolis were actually known by police, in part because they had traveled with a fourth man – 19-year-old Hamza Ahmed – to New York a few months ago with plans to head on to Syria. All four were stopped at JFk Internatinoal Airport, and Ahmed was soon after indicted for lying to the FBI on a terror-related investigation, and for plotting to provide aid to ISIS.

He’s pleaded not guilty, Fox News reported. But his colleagues were since put under watch.

The FBI said in an affidavit the men just arrested were all between the ages of 19 and 20.

ISIS terrorists walk Christians to their death.

Federal authorities are planning a news conference Monday to give further details.

The news of the arrests comes as ISIS terrorists just circulated a video of beheadings of Christians in Ethiopia.
